WHAT DO WE
The Barracudas sponsor organized sanctioned swimming
competitions, stroke clinics and social activities
to enhance our training and camaraderie. We offer
more than a 15 opportunities each week for coached
practices. These practices vary slightly for each
individual depending on ability, experience and
level of fitness. Team practices are held at the
Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center, which is an indoor
25 yard x 50 meter pool.
PHILOSOPHY
Our organization welcomes swimmers of all ages and
ability levels, regardless of previous organized
workout swimming experiences. Our interests range
from workout swimmers to competitors who race in the
pool, open water and triathlons. Some have been
involved in youth swimming organizations and others
have learned to swim as adults. Our abilities range
from novice swimmers who are just learning the more
difficult competitive strokes to those who have
achieved the highest levels in swimming. Age groups
begin at age 19 and cover five-year increments all
the way up to 100+.
HISTORY AND RECORDS
The Barracudas have a long, proud tradition of
success - both in and out of the pool. The
Team history
project documents some of the most memorable moments
in the team's history. The Tualatin Hills Barracudas
have accounted for some fast swimming over the
years. Check out our In
the Pool section to view the extensive list of
Team Records.
